About Us and The Cafe

The Story

I'm thrilled you've found your way here. This café has been a long-held dream of mine. Baking has always played a significant role in my life. As a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and caregiver, I bake to express my love. What started as a passion blossomed alongside our growing children, expanding my home bakery business over the last 10 years to cater to countless beautiful occasions. During this time, I became a grandmother, and now I have a whole new generation to spoil with my baked treats. Family and friends have always been at the heart of everything for me. With their love and support, I am embarking on this exciting new journey. I hope you'll join us to celebrate your special moments. Xo

We specialize in small batch baking, offering a diverse selection of freshly made goods that you can customize and enjoy.

Small Town History

Our bakery is nestled within a charming historic building, adding a dash of character and nostalgia to your visit.

Big on Quality

Our unwavering commitment is to your satisfaction and delight, reflected in the care and attention we put into each and every product we create.

Big on Community

We're proud of and want to support community activities. We aim to support local events and other local businesses.

Our History

In 1916, the Independent Order of Oddfellows of Harrow, celebrated the completion of their magnificent new lodge.  It would represent one of the most impressive IOOF lodges in the region, with three commercial spaces below and the IOOF lodge on the second floor.  The architect responsible for the design was a well-recognised member of the community, Mr. Thomas Jenner.  Construction for the building was led by Mr. Andrew Brimner with the help of local craftsmen.

The King Street Café is proud to occupy this historical space and has tried to respect it’s heritage and meaning to the community.
